Smile, You is one of the most underrated shows of all time. Period.The drama truly 'begins' with a wedding taking place. It's a marriage between two families who are ridiculously wealthy. The female lead is named Seo Jung In (played by Lee Min Jung) and her character is a spoiled brat who only cares about materialistic things. She gets dumped after her wedding when it's discovered that her family went bankrupt as her nuptials were taking place. Thankfully for the groom, the paperwork hadn't been filed so no divorce had to take place. Jung In is left on the side of the road, crying, but crying for revenge. That's when you realize that she's not like other female leads in dramas.
Our male lead is Hyun Soo and he's a dork and he's so ADORABLE! He is the opposite of Jung In; he loves his family, is poor, well educated and is dedicated to the woman he loves, his Beatrice. He's a loon whenever he's around her, too bad she thinks he's an annoying fly. :(
The love triangle in this drama is between Hyun Soo, Jung In and her sister(Beatrice xD).
This drama gets intense with its plot, the target audience is not young teens but families as a whole. In other words, the actions are realistic and the acting is mature.
You need to know that this drama was extended (it did VERY well on its ratings) so it dragged at the end, it was inevitable. However, you get over over 2o episodes of pure bliss. It's hard to say that for most dramas after episode 12.
