If you are new to dramas and have never watched this, MGIANTF will have you swallowed up in a new obsession. The acting is superb, the plot CUTE. Your favorite moments will be of Gu Mi Ho and Cha Dae Woong bonding.
The drama starts off eerie. There’s a famous shrine with a painting of a fox and an old woman. The monk who takes care of the shrine and guides tourists tells you the sad story of the gumiho (the nine-tailed fox) who was misunderstood and had false rumours spread about by jealous woman who just wanted Gumiho’s beauty. Gumiho’s dream? To be human. Sadly, she gets trapped in a painting instead.
Our male lead, Cha Dae Woong played by Lee Seung Gi, is a spoiled rich kid who runs away from his grandfather when he doesn’t get his way. Through a series of events, he’s now where the shrine is and he asks the monk to let him borrow his phone. He gets bad signal and keeps looking for a good spot, unluckily for him, he’s right on Gumiho’s territory and our Gumiho spooks him, bringing the LOLs but also, after she tricks him into letting her out of the painting, bringing his death. While on the brink of his death, Gumiho takes out her life force and let’s Dae Woong borrow It until he can live without its support. This leaves Gumiho weakened but at least Dae Woong is alive.

Gumiho has the master plan of blackmailing the guy to let her tag along. She uses the dreaded rumours about her to her advantage, ‘I’ll eat your liver if you don’t do as I say.’ And now they are stuck together.
This drama was full of so much fluff I was constantly turned to mush. Gumiho is a riot! She’s addicted to beef and will suck Dae Woong out of money with threats of eating him just to get it. Her favorite color? Brown; because it reminds her of cows… and it gets better and better.
There’s two love triangles, and you shall definitely hate the second female lead and love the second male lead (a reminder of Gumiho’s past).
The chemistry between the actors is so magical and amazing. Ah, such a great drama.
OH! And did I forget about the aunt and the action director? I guess I did. Their romance is hysterically funny. The aunt is played by Yoon Yoo Sun, the Queen in Goong. She is clumsy and she keeps getting into embarrassing situations like farting in elevators or feeling up statues. And the director has cheesy Chinese theme music. Heh is 6/5 possible?
