Operation: Proposal

Once I saw Operation Proposal's production quality, I was excited. It reminded me so much of 49 Days, what with the touches of actual magic here and there, that I really thought that this was going to be one of 'those' dramas. You know, one of those dramas where every second is precious because at any moment, the episode will be over, and before you know it, the whole drama too.

I recommend this for rainy days where you want something light and fluffy. I'm surprised how fast I lost interest in the main storyline which was about a guy who is the 'maid of honor' to the girl he was always in love with. What's even more heartbreaking is as he's helping the family pack away her things for the honeymoon, he finds a love note she wrote when she was in high school, confessing her love for him. If only he had had the courage to ask her out. As he's crying his heart out in an empty park, a 'time conductor' comes and grants him his wish, he can go back in time and fix what he regrets. Except, once isn't good enough, in every episode, he goes back in time to another moment at least once.

Every time he went back in time, he changed; overall, he become braver, more confident, but cockier (which is bad). What I enjoyed most of all in this drama were the lives of his friends that changed with him. Haven't you learned what happens when you mess with the time/space continuum (or something...).

I cried at the end. Rewatched it, and cried even harder. But oh boy, did I love it. If only the middle of the story, where they actually become a couple and he ruins it(and in the present are ex-lovers trying to still be friends) was never there... For great acting, a clever plot (it's based on a Japanese drama called Puropƍzu Daisakusen) and for an amazingly fulfilling and clever ending I give this a ...

Sistar - Alone

This song is exactly my style. It's catchy, somewhat slow, and full of beautiful vocals. And ohmy, the sexy leg dance that goes so well with the song? Try not to practice it in public. Temptation will grab hold and you will look like an idiot because when you do it, it's anything but sexy. T.T Not that I've tried... *cough*

49 Days

Have you ever thought of what it is like on the other side? Or those you have lost--what if they were given a second chance? What is amazing about 49 Days is how we are taken through the path of one's life and we get to re-examine it in a whole new light. We get to see love and betrayal, hope and hopelessness, laughter and tears, and in the end--we see that in every death, there is a new life. If there was ever an epic drama, this would be it.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal

I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself instantly hooked on the first episode. Though I'm a big fan of 'The King and the Clown', I can't say that I am interested in watching historical dramas but I caved in to someone's constant recommendation for it. Best. Decision. Ever.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal is a story set in the late Joseon era where it is illegal for a girl to be educated. Kim Yoon Hee's brother is gravely ill and she has to work to put food on the table and afford his medicine. She works as a scribe (since they didn't have printing presses or printers, all books, texts, etc. were done by someone rewriting it by the stroke of a brush) but has to take up her brother's identity while doing so because it is illegal for a girl to be literate. Tragedy occurs when the debt collectors come and Yoon Hee's family doesn't have the money, they say, either give us the money, or give us the daughter (Yoon Hee) so she could marry the Minister of War (which is the lord that they owe the money to). Desperate to not be forced into such a marriage, Yoon Hee decides to take on a job that would give her more money but is extremely risky. Plus, if she as a woman gets caught, it would practically be a death sentence.
